I'm looking for a new coffee machine and I wonder if any of my followers have recommendations. Here's the simple thing that I'd want: It should keep the coffee hot/warm for a while. So options are:

coffee makers with a glass pot and a heating plate. don't want it. It's a horrible waste of energy and it makes the coffee taste bitter and terrible after a while.

better: have an insulated flask that keeps the coffee warm. problem: most of them are not very well insulated. Why? They have a hole where the coffee pours in.

Some of them have some spring construction that tries to close the hole, but in my experience it doesn't work. insulation is still terrible.

there's an obvious solution: have an alternative lid for the insulated part that keeps it shut. I found only one product (from severin) offering that, but it looks very cheap overall, so I'm not keen on buying that one. any better ones?

If you're not opposed to switching lid, what about just moving to an insulated carafe after making?
