Anyone know a fairly non-reactive, easily obtained substance with boiling point around 31-33 C?
Maybe my intuition is just bad but it seems like you could only have a tiny mass of water per volume to operate at these temperatures...?

what do you have in mind exactly in a heat pipe, you don't need a lot of water because it rapidly cycles between the ends of the pipe. it's a refrigerant. your fridge only has like 100g of freon and it works pretty well.

Yeah, I think that may be how my intuition is bad.

Wow, stumbled across dehumidifying heat pipes while reading up. Do you have any idea if anyone is actually selling kits that fit residential units?
-
never heard of them

Also called wrap around heat pipe. Put on opposite sides of evaporator to precool/postwarm (net zero ofc) to take out more humidity.

oh I vaguely recall these things. it'd probably be easier (and definitely cheaper) to make your own
