One of the frustrating things about Twitter not banning Nazi's/the alt-right/trolls because that would hurt engagement stats is that it's such a short-term strategy. Like, how do you think those numbers will look in two years when everyone has been driven away by harassment?

Banning doesn't help. With a ban, there is no way to know what shenanigans they are up to.

No. They don't need a mainstream platform and access to harass & recruit through it for ppl to keep up with what they're doing. All their organizing takes place on Gab, 4chan, etc. Only recruitment & harassment take place here.

Not giving them a platform only encourages them to organize more efficiently and build more robust platforms and echo chambers that they can control.

That is utter nonsense and you know it. You can't recruit on a platform that's only used by your existing following.

It's clear from your moving goalposts that you're concern trolling and your real interest is not stopping nazis but justifying your middle school delusions of freeze peach. Blocked.
