Someday the only people making money on the internet will be payment processors. Broke consumers will buy from broke creators and anytime any money changes hands 30% will go into the hands of some random third party who got there by historical accident and makes near pure profit

It still seems like progress compared to the pre-internet model where 50% or more went to the retailer, <10% to creators.

Of course then the retailer was actually doing something and had real expenses, not pure predatory profit.
