Judges don't indict so I'm not really sure this comparison makes sense.

I mean yes, obviously I'm onboard with indicting the people who made and carried out these orders, but it's not clear to me what a judge can do other than tell the executive branch to stop.

Yes, very true. There's another branch of this thread where I observed (in this case former but of course also current) LEOs laughing at the abuse as the reason why it's not being prosecuted...

Perhaps court could at least hold them in contempt when they refuse to obey the order...?
