Male allies: volunteer to name search for your women friends who are subject to a lot of harassment. Keep them safe by informing them of active campaigns/doxxing and save their mental health from reading tons of abuse. We have more important things to do.

Tbh this kind of protection should be part of the implicit social contract that the harassment generating platforms enter into with their users
-
Absolutely. I'm just proposing something weaker where a third party can get good karma for doing something they're already purportedly good at, since harassment-generating platforms seem to have neither the will nor the competence to do it themselves.
-
Some harassment-generating platforms are designed for harassment, though. Think 8chan boards.
-
Yes. Even if mainstream platforms like Twitter and Facebook had the will and competence to handle it on their own sites, harassment is organized across platforms, and someone needs to monitor it on platforms designed as sanctuaries for it.
-
Exactly this. Like why would someone experiencing harassment even trust the platforms to protect them, it’s not like they have a great track record in the space. I just think that they should pay a reputable third party
-
Well it should be funded in a way that does not put a financial burden on the targets of the harassment; otherwise the harassment is still putting them at a financial disadvantage and achieving one of its perpetrators' goals.
