Well, I don't disagree. Any sort of DRM only hurts paying customers, but companies with IPs they feel they need to protect just never seem to get that.

XYZprinting has proven time and time again. They do not care about the community, they have no clue what "open source" is. Nor do they care. Also if you speak negative about them they threaten legal action against you.

Yes. But you will have to spend the money to prove that in court. Either way they win by intimidation because not everyone can afford to defend themselves.

Because they threaten ppl they assume will cave rather than the ones with organizing & media skills to flip it and take them down.
