I think desktop operating systems are just going to be more niche and less relevant. Like that Apple commercial where the kid says, "what's a computer?". I bet you Microsoft is eventually going to come out with their own Linux distro and it will be gg for Windows.

I saw people get So Mad about that commercial. People really want computers to be hard. They suffered so everyone should suffer. It’s exhausting.

Yet another data point for my grand theory of the two types of people: "I suffered so they should suffer too" and "I suffered so nobody should ever have to suffer like that again".

I think also there are old school users who see their time spent as “using (fighting with) the computer” while Kids Today see their time as “Instagram” or “Fortnite” (those are things The Youngs still do, right?). It’s a fundamental difference from back when it was hard.
