The closest thing to a real solution I know of would be uninstalling the YT app, using browser only, and getting a browser extension that lets you block specific channels...

Option 3 talk to your kids about hate as early as possible so they know how busted those ideas are regardless of medium.

Yes, I think that's a really important part that most people overlook and/or are too uncomfortable to do. But I think meaningful content moderation (and especially the ability to block what you want to block!) is needed too.

Even for adults, getting bombarded with false narratives fucks with your reality. I don't want to have to consciously avoid looking at or clicking the hate recommendations beside the video I'm trying to watch. I want them not to appear at all.
