I do but the federation business with some many people not being able to access profiles are other instances just got too silly to keep up with.

Out of interest, which server was your profile on?

http://mastodon.social , which was the "wrong" one according to a lot of people. But having the option of a "wrong" one is kind of the problem though and not something people want to deal with. It's a nice platform otherwise.

http://mastodon.social (which I happen to run) blocks a very small and very constant number of servers (13), which you wouldn't notice missing: gore, loli (and worse), and a few harrassment hotspots.

There's unfortunately a vocal minority of people who think that servers having the ability to block in general is wrong as a matter of principle who like to spread FUD about this.

FWIW I have no interest or intent in ever using mastodon instances that don't block 4ch*n/g*b/etc. style instances and have policies against that kind of behavior. Thanks for doing this right.
