Switzerland is about to introduce wide scale Internet censorship. Public voting is on 10 June 2018. Current polls say that 55% want the change (versus 42% against censoring). And no, it’s not about pornography, it’s about foreign gambling sites, which are highly taxed.

Why would you implement gambling ban via site blocking? Just legislate that cardholders can chargeback any gambling-related payment & problem would solve itself.

Gambling is not prohibited, they just want the organizers to pay taxes. If they’re out of country, that’s not possible.
