I claim preprint has no conflict with double blind reviewing. Same with having a GitHub repo. The reviewer is not supposed to attempt author deidentification.

I'm not mainly thinking about deliberate acts by the reviewer, but more about "almost everyone in this specific community that's qualified to review already knows about this research". don't you think that's a relevant issue?

Maybe for small fields, instead of doubleblind reviews, doubleblind metareviews of the reviews from outsiders to the field.
