What do we need to do to kill the myth of the “spiral rule” for C declarations? I correct that more often than any floating-point misapprehension, and it isn’t even vaguely plausible.

I would love to read a takedown of the spiral rule because I’m sure I couldn’t accurately write down the actual rules off the top of my head and it seems close-ish
