Last piece left for a Walker-Mallott ticket was just finalized. Just after 5 pm Lt Gov Treadwell said he OKd the ticket for the Nov ballot.

One more late vote arrived by pigeon. Now 89-2 for merger. Walker is to drop his Republican affiliation, Mallott keeps his Dem status.

Filibusters aren't allowed in the Ak Legislature, but the Dems are doing their best to slow down the minimum wage bill.
Looks like a couple defections from the Republican majority on min wage (LeDoux, Austerman), but otherwise Rs are behind it.
Republicans added a quarter an hour raise and moved up the date it would take effect. But they can backslide next year.
