David Baddiel is an absolutely appalling man. Honestly, imagine writing for the Spectator and giving an interview to the Mail then moaning about hateful social media. Especially having led a bullying campaign against a black footballer that involved him doing blackface.

"I don't like the idea of 'understanding' a film. I don't believe rational understanding is an essential element in the reception of any work of art. Either a film has something to say to you or it hasn't. If you are moved by it, you don't need it explained to you." - Fellini

Nothing too glaring. Some I have seen but was really young so can’t really recall (Funny Games, Wicker Man, Evil Dead 2). Need to watch my Criterion of Brighter Summer Day though.

Watching the V for Vendetta Trailer and the Stephen Rea line “if your own government was responsible for the deaths of 100,000 people would you really want to know?” and it’s lost some of its impact after the last decade.

There isn't a single England player who takes the knee because they "want to replace capitalism with a new Marxist Communist order" they do it because they're sick of seeing their teammates and friends being racially abused on social media. It's that simple. Lizard.

Imagine waiting over a f*cking year to be in a football stadium only to boo your own players because they kneeled for equality.. then cheer/clapp when a Black player scores. Big up captain for scoring 👏🏽
