Usually, on the application side, you run SQL statements via PreparedStatement. So, it won't be a problem as you can't prepare 2 statements at a time.
You are thinking Java I presume? If only... and as you know there are other languages.
Luckily, preparared statements are widely supported
You don't need prepared statements to avoid injection hazards; what matters is PARAMETERIZATION. The fact that some interfaces only give you that with prepared statements is a defect of those interfaces.
Prepared statements offer patametrization by design. In fact, many JDBC clients emulate the prepare phase on the client-side until a certain call threshold is reached, to reduce the number of roundtrips.
There is a whole world out here that is not using java.
Which of the Top 10 most-used programming languages does not support prepared statements?
It's not a question of not supporting prepared statements. It's about using parameterization without NEEDING prepared statements.
Wel, client-side prepared statement emulation offers parameterization without server-side prepared statements.
