I like how @AInfanteGreen, the fearless school reformer, first move was to hire her son's Godfather. Cronyism is what got us into this mess and that's never going to change. But the people of Providence sit back and take it so they get what they deserve!
Providence Schools are now officially a national embarrassment. The longstanding local secret has now been splashed across the media of the US.
With less than two months before Providence schools are set to open, little is clear.

The creation of public sector unions create a perverse incentive for what we are seeing in the Providence school system, and it predictably yielded perverse results. Until that changes, it literally does not matter which figurehead is "in charge".
