That letter has long since been repudiated by the ACS hierarchy. There is, however, some debunking of MGC's benefits on their website.

The letter may have been written by these VPs or it may not have, leaders of now denying something from the past that disagrees with the rest of public policy is not unheard of. That being said the content of the letter is valid. Modern research shows no clear benefit, like >>

The ACS doesn't dispute that those two wrote the letter, but that they had authority to speak on behalf of the ACS . So we should not tout it as "The ACS says..."

Ahh repudiate does also have that meaning, fair enough, I do however wonder how high up you need to be to have the authority to speak for an organisation, NVP should have it, one would think. Sounds like again, the new regime doesn't like what was said, so it tries to push it>>
