No. My parents are not sick for having me circumcised. I would have a problem with them if they *didn't* have me circumcised. This is a significant religious custom that you're clearly not familiar with and you're calling it "mutilation." Stay off 4chan.

That & also not being circumcised requires specific knowledge about hygiene that you need to be taught. Usually by your father. So if your father and his father and his father were all circumcised and you're not, if no one goes out of their way to help you infections will abound.

No, it doesn't, it is self cleaning like the vagina - look at the rest of the mammalian species. Neither gender is circumcised the vagina self cleans and the penis self cleans without hygiene issues and as multiple studies have proven, more STD's are caused by the circumcised.

If you read the whole thread you'll see I cited actual documentation instead of just making statements. If the data has changed over time I'm happy to look at citations and reconsider my opinion. I'll wait.

There is a wealth of European research that documents the procedural risks, psychological damage, health consequences and damage caused by 20,000 nerves being severed. No male baby is circumcised at birth in Europe except for religious reasons. In the US it's a billion $ industry

It's for religious reasons in the US too. The only difference is the religion is defaulted into society now. Which is really what this comes down to. Circumcision shouldn't be forced on the population. But parents should have a right to circumcise their sons as religious practice

No, parents should not have the right to mutilate their children. Female circumcision is illegal and mail circumcision will be soon - it already is in some countries. If your religion advocates it, then the child can make the choice to have it done at the age of majority.

Well we have different views on the rights of Americans and their ability to raise their children. That's fine as most people disagree on various issues. I have no reason to want to change your mind so I'll agree to disagree. Good to day to you sir.

Here's where the issue is, you're saying it's the parents' right to decide how to raise their child, but what about the child's rights? Doesn't he have the same freedoms, rights to make decisions over his own body that are destroyed when parts of that body are removed? Rights >>

2> to choose his own religion, which are trampled when the symbols of his parent's faith are literally carved into his body? No where does it say in the bible that circumcision has to be on the 8th day, that's just a tradition they decided on. Abrahm was in his 90s when he was.
