Why don’t we say “anatomically correctly” or simply “normal?”https://twitter.com/circmovie/status/1056953875926802433 …

Because neither gives an indication what anatomy might be "incorrect" or "abnormal" nor in what way. Intact (= not touched) implies that a removal/reduction/damage has not happened, pretty much what needs to be said. Speed the day when a penis has a foreskin and we say nothing!

“Intact (= not touched) implies that a removal/reduction/damage has not happened” This is precisely the problem I see with it. In this sense it seems to be no real different than “uncircumcised.” A justification, of which genitals as nature made them need none of. #i2

Un however leaves the idea that it was done and undone, or is yet to be done, intact carries the idea of "not broken"

"The vase fell, but it is intact" carries no suggestion that it ought to be broken later. It has the additional good connotation that not the slightest chip is missing.

Right, but notice that “The vase fell” must precede “but it is intact” in order for “intact” to make sense. The vase narrowly escaped what? Are vases assumed to be broken unless proven otherwise? No. A vase needs no clarifier unless it’s broken. That’s where we need to be. #i2

In part yes, but due to the prevalence of circumcision in US culture, what's normal is not what is natural, and people often conflate normal with natural. Anatomically correct seems kind of clinical and stilted.

Oh plus intact is the shortest word we have on offer here, and with twitter's character limit, and my admitted verbosity, if I had to say "anatomically correct penis" instead of "intact penis" every time it would make saying anything here much harder.

You do you. I’m just saying, I don’t like “intact” any better than “un-c.” I’ll use it every now and again because it’s what we have. The movement is already named after it. I guess it “works.” #i2

I’m saying we need to work toward a time where we don’t need clarifiers; where the word “penis” invokes an anatomically correct organ as humans were meant to have. Where it’s the deforeskinned organ that demands a clarifier, not the other way around. #i2

Agreed, but for now, we need something to clarify, for now while 1/3 of the world has been damaged, we need to be specific. I doubt we'll see that need dropped in our lifetimes, even if the last cut in the world for non therapeutic reasons just happened, there's still so many >>

2> of us damaged that it'll still be a big portion of the population when I die, of men my own age and up to 30 years younger. Potentially regenerative medicine may change that, at which point I will proudly be "un"cut, it was done and reversed.
