No it isn't always just doctors that cause damage, but doctors have done the most damage to me in my life, from my own circumcision, my genital mutilation, thirty years ago, to their approach of throwing pills at any problem. I was put on Prozac for instance, in 1993 Liley put >>

And that's just sexual damage, we can go into my diagnosis of ADHD as a child, given medications that were amphetamines, I had dietary issues that caused it, that could have been fixed instead of drugs. And there are many more examples in my life when I was harmed by medicine.

Holy shit! You've had a worse time of it that I have, and I'm dying because of what happened to me. And you're so young :-( Male genital mutilation is something that's not talked about much. One of the last taboos, eh?

It's definitely a human rights issue whose time has come, yeah... No unnecessary surgery without informed adult consent of the one being operated on, doesn't sound complicated. :/ I'm terribly sorry to hear about your situation too... I can't imagine being in your shoes.

Informed adult consent sounds basic enough to me. Thanks for the kind words

Exactly, informed adult consent. I know two people who were circumcised as adults, they had actual issues, they made choices and they are happy with it. Both are against infant circumcision. And honestly both take proper care of what they have now that parents never do for boys.

I come from a country and a culture that doesn't usually circumcise babies, so I find it strange that it happens routinely - and people rarely question it.

A little over half of all boys born in the USA will be circumcised. One every 30 seconds, and those are numbers based on hospitals, not including Jewish or Muslim rituals, 70% of all circumcision worldwide is Muslim, and the average age there is 7 years old.
