>Another furry intactivist Every damn time. Anyway, that study was already critique with its methodological flaws and having their 1st table being incomplete, while still drawing to conclusion: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1464-410X.2007.06970_6.x …
Citing Morris won't do much, his biases are quite well known. Not to mention he does not actually refute the findings, agreeing that Meissner’s corpuscles are light touch receptors and their existence on the foreskin would cause these measurements. He does claim that this >>
>"Morris is biased" >"Uses a study from Van Howes, the open anti-circumcision." Full circle.
Then who isn't biased here? Are there any researchers that aren't? I doubt it, particularly I would wager those that are neutral but see damaged and costs would come out against it. Any who are neutral and see good evidence of benefit would probably come out for it.
I haven't seen any evidence of real benefits, particularly not any that justify infant circumcision. I've seen the African studies and could see the issues with it myself, which fall inline with many of the critiques of those studies, even if true, this does not justify infant >>
2> circumcision, as there will be no possible benefits until the boy is sexually active, and is not using condoms. I've also seen all the studies that show no HIV protection from circumcision, like the one done by the US Military in 2004. I have heard the claims about penile >>
3> cancer, but again not something that makes infant circumcision justified, as it's another condition that only matters in adults. The third claim is UTIs, which data suggests is a higher problem in the USA than in other countries, likely due to bad foreskin care instructions >>
4> but even then, it's known that UTIs are more common in girls than in boys, they get antibiotics, boys get surgery, which I believe always will cause sexual issues when they get older, mostly from personal experience which brought me to intactivism in the fist place.
