I've been observing this topic for a while, probably since 2015. Over the last year alone, the amount of people talking about it and the amount of opposition I see to this practice has skyrocketed. However, no one is bringing this topic to legislators. Blaming docs does nothing.

The FGM cases in Michigan are going to bring this up because they are using male circumcision in their defense, as the equivalent practice, and as much as most people want to say they can't be compared more often than not they can. Also internationally all 5 nordic nations have>>

What other countries do about it is all fine an well, but what is the US doing? From what I see everyone is sitting on their heels.

RELIGION! Marc Stern, general counsel at American Jewish Committee said the Jewish community was "clearly appalled" by the proposed ban. "This is the most direct assault on Jewish religious practice in the US." Proposed Circumcision Ban Struck From Ballothttp://abcnews.go.com/Health/san-francisco-circumcision-ban-striken/story?id=14179024 …

That is an older article from before the anti-circ movement actually started to gain traction. The end result is not that surprising. That being said, if people really want to push legislature through, they actually have to fight it tooth an nail. Not give up when it gets tough.

2011 not long ago-nothing changed-you think AJC wouldn't do same today? Intactivists worked hard as hell just to get BALLOT MEASURE in City of San Francisco to VOTE on whether to ban infant circumcision. Jewish lobby went to court to stop people from even being able to vote on it

2011 is nearly eight years ago, that's on the closer end of a decade. I'd say quite a bit has changed since then. If concerns revolve around the ballot being removed, then actually defend it using the legal system. Take it to court as well, possibly a higher one.

God sent an angel to kill Abraham (Or maybe Joshua) because he hadn't circumcised his son. His wife did the deed and saved his life.

when he was over 100 years old, since according to the bible Isaac wasn't born until he had reached his century mark. And speaking of Isaac, the first circumcision biblically, we don't get to know his age either, though based on different other events in the bible it was >>

>> or people would leave the faith rather than be cut upon if given that choice, but having it already done, at least before it became fashionable in the USA marked you as Jewish, you were less likely to leave when it made you physically different.
