If @TeamYouTube invested into a streaming section. It would honestly beat Twitch in the long run, therefore making them more money. Atm no-one provides any real solid competition.

The service that will win out in the end, will be the service that bags a deal for streaming copyrighted music, easier. And the site that manages to innovate their playform continuously. Still feel like Twitch are the true pioneers in the Live-genre.

Twitch have no competition which is the problem. They don't support up and coming streamers, they only give a shit about the ones who make them the money. If they supported the ones at the bottom, they would gain more "full time" streamers.

Yeah, it sure feels that way the last 6-8 months. I think its a market-grab, because Google have entered the fray for real. Amazon vs. Google-sized spending-competitions usually have that effect. Because they want the top tier streamers on their team. 1/2

2/2 I think we have to wait for the dust to settle, or do the grass-roots-thing, where we create our own communities that can grow strong from below. At some point, they will notice the culture changing. Or, we could hope that Elon Musk suddenly start to bingewatch us scrubs lolpic.twitter.com/mjIb9TW9oR
