How can a book on climate & weather history end with the climate of 100,000 years from now? My reply to : "Right now we are charting the history of climates to come. That's one of the paradoxes of our time."

This is infuriating and insulting to veterans. A third of the Federal workforce are veterans. They're NOT on strike. They're increasingly getting furloughed because Donald Trump refuses to reopen the government.

The heat is on in an epic way Down Under for sure. Frustrating that climate models still have such a hard time figuring out the precipitation impact in this century. Helpful guide from 1/18 by

So useful and troubling. one of a great generation of innovators turning data into meaning on Twitter. Data > meaning > decisions? That last part is up to you and your elected officials.

Hello, I’m a volcanologist in a movie. When an eruption happens, I always very slowly take off my glasses and stare at it, basking in its deadly glow. I am able to flawlessly outrun pyroclastic flows and dodge lava bombs. I can also solve major relationship issues mid-eruption.
