I agree that we should wear masks and that 3000K deaths is a tragedy especially because it's completely unnecessary/preventable. But these lists leave out an important metric of PER CAPITA, which makes them much less useful.

List almost makes it to the Johnstown Flood. May 31, 1889, 2,200+ people die as the South Fork Dam collapsed in Pennsylvania. Dam collapse was caused by the wealthy elite’s private club expansion. But hey, we got Carnegie Hall, so all’s good right?
