Christian minister in Portland here. This was no “family Christian prayer event.” It was a far-right political rally organized by a failed MAGA congressional candidate from CA. Just assume everything Andy Ngo Tweets is made up. twitter.com/MrAndyNgo/stat

Correction: it was far-right pastor Artur Pawlowski who apparently organized yesterday’s event, not far-right pastor Sean Feucht (who is scheduled to rally today). Both are extremists from outside Portland opposed to equality and measures to protect public health.

Artur Pawlowski and Sean Feucht are chaplains to the far-right fringes, spread misinformation on #COVID19 and vaccines, and provocateurs intent on fostering violence. The best antidote to such hate is the radical power of love.

I don’t know about you, but we don’t come dressed and equipped like this for prayer gatherings in my church.

Thanks I was wondering why people just randomly attack a Christian "prayer event"

I suspected such when I saw the Proud Boys were there as security. Why would good parents bring their children into a situation like this?

Good parents wouldn’t. However, those who wish to indoctrinate their kids would...the same reason parents would take their kids to klan rallies back when they wore hoods to these things.

Why is a right-wing controversy seeking minister traveling to Portland to stir up trouble?
