Sounds iffy at best and financially unsound. Theaters had a hard time making money with packed screens, not sure a few hundred per screen will do much.
Not to mention how is putting strangers into an enclosed space safe? Desperate times indeed.

In India inspite of reporting highest daily cases in the world is operating cinemas with 50% capacity! No limit of maximum number of people per screen. Pathetic!

I'm very surprised the major theaters haven't showed and shared their discontent with the way the current administration has handled the pandemic and its affects on their profits.
