I own one of their PSU's for my Commodore 128 and it is top quality. I imagine their Amiga supplies are just as good.

The burning smell is worrisome. Try it without the accelerator for sure... after you figure out what the burning smell is! Some very nice and new PSU's are reported to just not work with accelerated machines.
You have an accelerator plugged in? If so check for bent pins in the accelerator itself. a wrongly bent pin on the 120v line will burn out a track...

Another thought - A1200 accelerator cards on occasion need to be pulled out 1 or 2 mm from the full slotted position to make proper contact

Hi. Thanks for your responses! I have some good and possibly bad news: I've tried the Amiga again with a CF card reader in place of the 1992 hard drive and it works however the RF modulator doesn't appear to work and during the intro to flashback some of the music was missing.pic.twitter.com/CO6PKgi1rn
