So you're trying to tell me I don't have the right to speak what I feel about the genital mutilation that was forced on me, that impacts me every single day, that I can never fix or escape? I proudly shame anyone who does such a horrible thing to another person.
People don't understand how horrible they sound when they make circumcision sound like the worst thing in the world. Is it bad, yes. And it should stop (it's not even biblically supported beyond the Old Testament) but don't shame circumcision like that.

I'm saying make a fine line between shaming people who circumcise and those who have been circumcised, as though they are lesser for having been circumcised.
-
Hi, excuse me, I don't understand. What do you mean by don't shame victims of mgm. Do you mean that's happening? What does that look like? Can you please offer me a common example?
-
People who tend to criticize people for circumcision tend to make it into the worst thing. People make unnecessary and subjective criticisms about its looks and how it feels instead of focusing on the needlessness of the procedure.
-
Hmmmm, that's interesting. For sure it causes soreness & pain that is bad, and it is a horrible thing to see when you know how it was obtained, but it sounds like you're focusing more on neutral needlesness which is probably better than the anger response...
-
That seems an interesting view I've not much considered. So if you say start with the needlesness and progress to more appalling positions as seems necessary I think I agree with that.

I once met a man who was resolved to cut all his boys and I went through every argument with him only to finally get him to reconsider when I told him he'd be paying money to wake up more often at night to a crying baby b/c of his choice.
-
Perhaps it would b beter 2 provide a list of most relevant arguments checked against least upsetting & most convincing arguments. B/c we say needless but doctors say we're fools who dont know what we talk a/b. If u do that I support u & would love 2b tagged in that. Peace man
