    Republican FL legislature flushes the people’s will down the drain daily. - Am. 4: 64% voted to restore voting to people w/convictions once case was over. Leg gutted it. - Now Key West folks said no more cruise ships & they were overruled for special interests.

    The FL legislature is about to throw the will of Key West voters in the 🗑. SB 426 CANCELS results from 3 voter-approved referendums that limit the size of cruise ships + protect coral reef. I filed an amendment requiring the state to notify voters their vote is NULL & VOID!

    Disgusting what legislature led by Gov did. No giving out water, when primaries are in the August blazing heat? There’s a special place in hell for him & other Republicans who voted for this. No matter what they do, like Maya Angelou “still we rise” Can’t keep us down!

    The Florida Senate just passed , a bill that suppresses mail-in voting, limits drop boxes to only during early voting, and criminalizes giving out food and water to those waiting in line to vote. This is voter suppression. This is unconstitutional.

    Just pathetic. If the GOP tightened up their message and made their case to the people, they could win fair and square. Instead, they’d rather stop folks from voting. Shameful!

    Voting is a right, yet the GOP is treating it like a privilege. We must stop voter suppression efforts at all costs.

    This part. Rather than address problems in policing, our misguided governor thinks it best to silence voices of dissent and disrespect the jury process. 2022 is around the corner. Organize. Show up. Vote.

    Did it ever occur to that maybe the jury saw direct evidence of a cop killing a Black man and so they held him accountable?

    Context for the civil issue: The white extremist who murdered Heather Heyer in Charlottesville back in 2017 could escape paying out in a civil lawsuit under this law if it happened in Florida.

    As I’ve said repeatedly, there’s many laws to address illegal acts at protests. Now taxpayers will be saddled with potentially up to $67million per year for an unnecessary law. Plus civil protections provided for folks who run over protestors + weakening of local government.

    HB1, the so called “anti riot” bill has been signed by FL Gov DeSantis into law. It will be very problematic for organizers planning peaceful protests & is an attack on . Rather than address concerns regarding , would rather silence dissent
