About 40% of the country dismisses the death toll, because if they acknowledged it, they would have to acknowledge the failure of a president that they've tied their identity to.

I have watched your story several times. Each time, it brings tears to my eyes. You have an extraordinary ability to capture the agony and anger of this horrible virus . And , as a journalist myself, you have shown the world, we truly care about the people we cover.

The report brought tears to my eyes too. COVID has been a brutal experience for too many. Plus, the indifference/opposition to following social distanciation rules by many is just compounding the pain.
