Why urge to forgive up to $50,000 for federal borrowers? Because millions of families have delayed or forgone making important decisions for their future, like getting married or contributing to their retirement savings, because of the crushing burden of #studentloandebt!

All student loan debt causes these issues. I do not see any equity being taken into account with a flat $50k. Seems arbitrary and hmmm…for political gain rather then really getting to the issue of predatory lending and relief for all. #CancelStudentDebt

It's so clear that they are all just following a campaign memo, and not actually listening to the people, because no real person wants it capped at 50k

Forgive those currently under PSLF. Fed loan is still up to their old tricks!!

$50k is arbitrary. My husband and I still owe $200k that we took out in the 1980s! This is a predatory system! Forgive ALL student loan debt!

Maybe $50k if they undo the capitalized interest and get rid of it. Otherwise cancel it all and we reach the same end.
