(1/2) I have continued to sound the alarm about the astronomically high levels of our national debt and federal deficit. Unfortunately, big spenders in Washington just don't seem to care, and many Americans don't realize how this will affect them.

You probably also know that there is no "national credit card." A country with a sovereign currency can never run out of money. Public debt = private savings. If you want recession then balance the federal budget. That trend has never not happened.

Seems if you're concerned about the debt you might want to stop spending so much on machines of war that add little value to the overall economy. And you should also know that Social Security is not part of the federal budget. Wonder why you're targeting that?

Ironic how you quote someone from the Pete Peterson PAC, which is committed to privatizing Social Security under the guise of the "national debt." Then you go on to mention Social Security and Medicare but say nothing about the $700 billion DoD budget you just passed.
