We need hand maked paper ballots as a federal guideline. Barcoded ballots cant be verified by the voter. Many of the current voting machines are hackable.

THANK YOU, Rep. Underwood. This is the issue that keeps me up at night. Is it possible for our gov to mandate--nation-wide--HAND-MARKED paper ballots (not machine-marked paper ballots, which can be hacked), and machines that are disconnected from the internet?

Mythology: paper ballots are secure? Big batches of paper ballots magically appeared and disappeared in Broward County Florida, remember? That's not secure. The 1960 presidential election was decided in Chicago based completely on paper ballots! Heard about that? Not secure.
