Earlier this year, I introduced H.R. 1757 with @RepCasten to provide relief for homeowners and middle-class families in our community that were hit hardest by the new limit to the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction.
If your state and local taxes exceed $10,000 then you must be doing pretty well. Here in Illinois we need to reduce our property taxes to be more in line with other states

Both Underwood and Casten support an increase in the SALT deduction. Ives does as well but with an extra helping of fealty to Trump.
