I introduced the Chronic Condition Copay Elimination Act to help American's being crushed by the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs. My bill requires private insurance plans to cover out-of-pocket costs for certain preventive care & prescriptions w/o charging copayments.

We know that when patients can afford their prescriptions, they are more likely to take their medications as prescribed. This helps prevent chronic conditions from worsening or secondary conditions from developing, improving health and saving lives!

Thank you! FYI, my insurance wanted to charge $5000 per month for an inhaler. My doctor’s office worked on it and it’s now “only” $100 per month. Thank you for addressing affordability of meds for us to live!
