I hear these stories consistently as I talk to people in #IL14 who struggle to afford the prescription drugs needed for their families. The costs are too high and it’s unsustainable.

Today, I introduced the Chronic Condition Copay Elimination Act to eliminate out-of-pocket costs for common life-saving mediations that many Americans with chronic conditions rely on.

My bill requires private health insurance plans to cover certain life saving prescription drugs w/o out-of-pocket costs. This means patients on medications for diabetes, asthma, or heart disease would be able to go to the pharmacy w/o paying expensive co-payments or deductibles.pic.twitter.com/0ECy6ulhxF
