No American should be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition. My bill HR 1010 would end the sale of junk plans and protect people with pre-existing conditions.

A friend almost signed up for a junk plan from united health care. $12K deductible, 60/40 coverage. After I explained to her what that meant she was angry. So many people don't know that their plans are garbage until they go to use them because they don't understand the terms

Efforts like these make me very skeptical of an incremental approach to health care. Republicans will NEVER stop chipping away at ACA. We missed losing it by one vote in the Senate not too long ago. M4A couldn't be challenged without challenging existing Medicare.

I believe Republicans want to preserve protections for pre-existing conditions. But the truth they are NOT telling us is that they will allow insurance companies to: A) pick which ones they’ll cover, and B) charge whatever the hell they want to for coverage.
