From 1948-1980 the highest marginal tax rate was never lower than 70% and over 90% from 1951 to 1963. When people think of the golden age of modern American history, 1951-1963 was the sweet spot and the 90+% marginal tax rate didn’t seem to hurt the country.

The problem is we are paying for both. Property and state tax both have a portion that go to schools, and unless people start selling their property and, or property values decrease, we are stuck with double taxation to pay for corporation to increase stock values.
