Rep. Omar’s tweet yesterday went too far. To suggest that pro-Israel support “Is all about the Benjamins,” and her follow up that she is referring to AIPAC, is not only inaccurate but conjures up the worst anti-Semitic stereotypes.
AIPAC is a not-for-profit that promotes US - Israel relations and specifically does not make donations to political campaigns. My support for Israel is based upon our shared values, our national security interests, and the history of the region.
What about a political action committee doesn’t revolve around money?
She said exactly what she wanted to say and knew it meant exactly what does. She is exactly what we all think she is, glad to see some of you are now noticing.
Nope sorry it is all about money. I've never been able to figure out why the US supports a country that kills other people just because they're the wrong religion.
In many ways they're just as bad as the reason why the country was founded in the 1st place. We need to be taking care of our own not Israel. It's unfortunate but I'm pretty sure republicans can find donors elsewhere
Can someone please explain how it’s anti Semitic? If she said America supports Saudi Arabia because of money is that also anti Semitic or anti Saudi’s Arabian?
