Supreme Ct decision in #Janus case will hurt public employee unions & working families who have consistently fought for rights that today all workers benefit from. Unions & working families are the backbone of our country and have helped increase safety, productivity and wages.

My grandfather was an IBEW electrician who changed the lights on the Empire State Building and I will always stand with and continue to fight for working families. #UnionStrong

Why should anyone be “forced” to be in a union? As a teenager I remember friends who had a job in the local supermarket and were forced to join and pay union dues when they rather have the money in their pocket. This decision is about choice and not mob rule.

There is a direct corolation 2 unions being busted and low wages. There is power in collective bargaining.Unions r what created our middle class n the demise is what is killing http://it.Ck  out what our country was like b4 unions. From wages 2 safe working conditions.

Do you know what caused them to loose the case? When they were challenged to show the audited accounting that the fees being paid were only going toward collective bargaining and not toward standard union activities that full members benefited from, they couldn’t do it.

There is a bigger picture here that you r missing. Unions protect the workers. This decision will hurt the Little guy who can’t see the forest for the trees.

In a constitutional Republic the rights of the minority are protected over the majority. You can’t take away someone’s individual liberty and right to work by forcing them to pay into something thy don’t want. Especially when as a union you can’t account for where the money went.

That's right, Tom. Just remember that ONE Nassau County PO larding up his overtime to fatten his pension steals more than 100 purse snatchers.

Not public sector unions. Govt jobs are where you go either because you like the work and/or the stability and you don’t mind the pay sucks. It must not be a path to prosperity and slush fund for one party or the other.

I’m in a union that totally sucks! They take 1% of my pay every year, they use my union dues to support Democrat candidates whilst I’m a Republican, we had NO raise for 5 years, they have minimal interest in representing us for grievances ...
