Late last night I voted for the #FamiliesFirst Act to offer American families strong, commonsense protections from coronavirus. This legislation:
💉 Guarantees free testing,
👪 Provides paid leave,
💵 Supports strong unemployment benefits, &
🍲 Expands food assistance.

As usual, the Democrats got to it and got this done to be able to have measures to vote on. It really irks my arse that Trump dares tweet that he "directed" it all. That's just not right by no stretch. Kudos to the House.

What about these things when it’s not a pandemic? Maybe cancer only effects one person at a time but still needs these things?

Great!
I’m pleased to see that a bipartisan bill was passed to address this National Emergency.
If a bill couldn’t be passed in this situation, our Congress should have been disbanded.
Now, let’s get to work on other bipartisan solutions to our many other issues.

Thank you No one should be surprised when you stand with and for America’s working families and those who are less fortunate!
