In my experience, many are incapable of the individual thought beyond mainstream talking points and being thrust into that cognitive dissonance elicits a fight or flight response. Also, they never pass up an opportunity to signal they are “one of the good ones” to their peers.

The Party of Lincoln has abdicated: the norms of governance, obeying federal law, their oath to protect the US from enemies foreign & domestic, their duty to remove a president whose mental faculties are failing before our eyes. Against all that, a milkshake toss seems mild.
