(1/5) I was uncomfortable when I saw the video & description that first went viral, so I understand the initial reactions to the CovCath video. I chose to wait for more facts before responding because the narrative did not match what I know to be the character of these students.

You’re the man! This militant effort to destroy 15-16 year olds just to demonize the President and the March for Life is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen. One of the lowest days in American media history.
-
Not to mention distract from that buzzfeed report
-
That’s a good point
-
Agree, fake news had a very bad week
-
And a good week for fake news is a bad week for the American people.
-
That's just my point LV, the news is fake and people are being destroyed over it.

You were saying..... Here's a 2015 photo of a Covington Catholic basketball game where students are clad in blackface & 1 of them is harassing a black player. the student body is 100% white so is the entire faculty but they feel entitled to dress in blackfacepic.twitter.com/THzsNAm7Jw
-
You can see a kid in the back dressed in all black. It's a blackout night. Painting yourself black doesn't just automatically equal blackface. Otherwise I think Seal Team 6 and Arnold from the first Predator film would all be racists by default for trying to blend in.
-
It’s time to retire the theme “Blackout Night” if this is what happens at those events. Whatever happened to being sensitive to others that may find the theme offensive or racially insensitive. Microaggression is real.
-
I went to high school in a small middle TN school system that held multiple blackout events. No one ever painted their faces black. We had history teachers who would have immediately walked us out of the building, lol.
-
Ha i went to a super small Christian school where basketball was INSANELY important, so while I do relate to this photo, I agree no sane teacher would have let us paint ourselves black. So you got me there. Dumb doesn’t equal racist in all cases though

Thomas Massie, ironic, where was your voice when former Republican Speaker of the House, Dennis Hassert was sent to Prison for molesting High School boys?
-
Probably busy drinking beer.

The parents, mentors, and you, should be ashamed. These boys are showing learned behaviors, that all of you adults are lying to cover it up. That’s not what I would call being a Christian. Shameful!
-
The are emulating the Prez.
