The caravan that’s on TV every hour has 4,000-5,000 people? 300,000 were apprehended trying to cross the SW border illegally last year. That’s about 5800 per week. 52 caravan’s worth were apprehended last year. Probably at least that many crossed without getting caught. 🤔pic.twitter.com/6bk7zbE87r

Will you introduce legislation to take away the jobs/cheap labor magnet? Mandate nationwide E-Verify?

A national ID, and force employers to be ICE... while never actually resolving to enforce immigration law? No thanks, just more power for the government.

So we'll solve the problem by doing more House rules changes? I get it, but it's way too ideological. How else do we take away the cheap labor magnet? Businesses just need to enter their social security number on a website. They don't have to deport them, just don't hire them.

People are using fake IDs. Add in E-Verify for good measure and fine employers 10k per employee who are caught hiring people illegally. Take away the jobs magnet and people won't come here illegally.

How’s does e-verify stop them from using fake ID’s?

Do you at least recognize that the need for cheap labor is what is driving these caravans?

demand for labor is one aspect. So is the desire for free healthcare, welfare, school. Back to the last question, what kind of ID would you propose that can’t be faked and that EVERY American must possess? What type of biometric ID would you eagerly submit to? Do we outlaw cash?

We need to stop them from using stolen social security numbers. There should be an extreme consequence if caught doing that.

I ask the same question about voter ID. Heck California and other states are registering people here illegally to vote , via giving them DL's or state ID.

And mistakes in the system put companies at risk. Let the government e-verify it wants to, not companies.
