As Members of Congress, instead of only offering tepid thoughts and prayers, we should be drafting, introducing and passing commonsense legislation to stop these mass casualty events from happening over and over. It should be our moral imperative.

How about starting with a ban on the AR-15 which seems to be the common weapon of choice.

History and future generations will condemn us for inaction and conclude that we had lost our minds.

It is beyond dreadful that the KIDS have to deal with these life and death issues because adults are so complacent/indifferent. All countries have mental health issues, they do not have the same mass shooting rates because mentally ill people can not easily get assault weapons

Do something to end the cycle. Pass legislation that is tough on gun laws. Background checks, mental health, bump stocks, close sale of gun show sales, are all obvious changes that will save lives. Work with Republicans to find any common ground. Lives depend on it.
