Americans shouldn't need a celebrity advocating on their behalf to get a pardon from the president. Under Trump, thousands of petitions are ignored while those with special access to the president are granted clemency.

Presidential pardons and commutations should not be viewed as an occasionally act of forgiveness but treated as a routine part of the federal criminal justice system to remedy injustice and provide mercy.

The Democratic party turned their back on Rod Blagojevich (except for a few). The former Governor was offered a plea deal of 18 months which he turned down because he never took a dime in bribes or kickbacks. His sentence was 168 months which is 900% longer than 18 months. WRONG!
