The DOW dropped 800 points today.
How many of us have 401Ks?
Think about this for a minute....
It doesn't matter if you are 16 or 60...
Social Security is the only retirement most of us can hope for.
AND we pay into it each paycheck!

My wife and I sadly (jokingly) wonder if we'll be eating Fancy Feast or Meow Mix once we retire. So much for being a "contributing member of society" the past 40+ years.

I say give us our money back. social security is a ponzi scheme at best. The way it's looking my husband and I won't see nearly what we've paid into it, if we see any at all.

Please include language that stops Congress from "borrowing" from our trust fund & to pay back the $1.3T borrowed in the Bush years. For many, it is the only way they can afford to secure a future of not being totally indigent.

A bill making it illegal to borrow or take funds from Social Security trust or its surplus would be an excellent defense against votes like the 2018 one where 97% of Republicans voted to steal the SS surplus... funds earmarked for the boomers retirement benefits.
