Rep. Lieu has a way of simplifying what can seem like complicated issues and add such a rational and common sense perspective. Those five minutes were so eloquent, easy to follow and used the witness testimony masterfully.

Please. Cannabis is my only pain med and the only thing that works to relieve the symptoms of hell #akathisia. One of the complications of akathisia is suicide. I believe them. I’m lucky. I live in Washington State.

As a fibromyalgia & arthritis patient, cannabis could help my pain, anxiety and insomnia. Even my Dr. is on board! After years of opioids +anti-inflammatory meds, we need new options. One can purchase gallons of liquor- but not 1 gram of marijuana. =Insanity. Ty!

I backed decriminalization of marijuana during the early 1970s when I was a student lobbyist for the community college students association. We were young and were able to get one bill out of committee. It failed on the floor vote.

At the very least, marijuana should not be a Schedule 1 drug so it can be studied appropriately.

Colorado just dedicated millions of dollars for our public school building repair and upgrades with cannabis tax revenues.
